Stereos to Rock Oil Kings Opening Night

Edmonton, AB.: The Edmonton Oil Kings Opening Night, presented by ENMAX, is going to rock. The Oil Kings, fresh off their first ever playoff appearance, take on the Calgary Hitmen this Saturday, September 19th at Rexall Place at 7:00 pm. Stereos will perform the National Anthem and play their best tunes during the first intermission. The local band's number one hit 'Summer Girls' has made them a household name. The guys in the band actually met playing minor hockey in St. Albert, so you know they will be in their element playing for a home town hockey crowd. Stereos become the first invited guests of the Oil Kings for their new theme night - Celebrity Saturdays. Watch for celebrities from all walks of life from sports to entertainment and beyond who will be at Rexall Place throughout the season for some King Size Fun.

Stereos will be available to the media for photographs and interviews at Rexall Place at 12:30 pm on Friday, September 18th. The Oil Kings will host a combined news conference where they officially launch their season and discuss Opening Night plus introduce their Captains and Alternate Captains.

There is plenty of King Size Fun planned for Opening Night. The Oil Kings will be wearing the new Reebok EDGE Uniform System for the first time. Fans who purchase the new Oil Kings jersey will also receive an autographed Oil Kings hockey stick.
