Red Claws Complete Two More Trades

PORTLAND - October 30, 2015 - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, completed their third and fourth trades of the day, the day before the 2015 NBA D-League Draft.

The Red Claws acquired the Grand Rapids Drive's second round pick in tomorrow's draft and the returning player rights to Manny Atkins. In return, Grand Rapids received the returning player rights to Asauhn Dixon-Tatum. The deal is pending physicals.

Additionally, the Red Claws traded their first round pick (19th overall) and a second round pick (21st overall) to Raptors 905 for their first round pick (11th overall) in tomorrow's draft and the returning player rights to Nolan Smith.

Atkins played 42 games for Grand Rapids last season, averaging 10.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game.

Smith, a first round pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, played last season for the Delaware 87ers. In nine games with Delaware, Smith averaged 11.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists.

In 31 games for the Red Claws last season, Dixon-Tatum averaged 5.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per contest.

Earlier today, the Red Claws traded for two second round picks - one from Fort Wayne, and the other from Westchester - on the eve of the draft. The Westchester selection is the pick that Maine just shipped to Raptors 905.

The 2015 NBA D-League Draft begins at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Red Claws' training camp begins on Monday. Maine opens the season on the road Nov. 12 at Westchester. The Red Claws will return home for their home opener on Nov. 20.
