BAKERSFIELD, October 30, 2015 - The Bakersfield Jam today announced the completion of four separate trade deals.
The first trade, the Jam acquired forward Earl Clark (pending a physical) from the Raptors 905 in exchange for Bakersfield's own original 2016 third-round draft pick. Clark (6-10, 234, Louisville) last season played in six games with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers before heading to China to play for the Shandong Lions. He holds NBA career averages of 4.4 points and 3.0 rebounds over six seasons with the Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic, and Phoenix Suns.
The second trade, the Jam traded the returning player rights to Jeremy Wise and its own original 2015 5th round pick (93rd overall) to the Reno Bighorns in exchange for Reno's own original 2015 fourth-round draft pick (61st overall).
The third trade, the Jam acquired the returning player rights of Brian Butch (pending physical) from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in exchange for the returning player rights of Adrian Thomas. Butch (6-11, 240, Wisconsin) played four seasons for Bakersfield (2009-10, 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14) and in 129 games he averaged 14.4 points and 10.6 rebounds. During his time with the Jam, he earned a spot on the NBA D-League All-Star team in 2010 where he scored 18 points and 13 rebounds in the All-Star game and was selected as the NBA D-League All-Star game MVP. He was named to the All D-League First Team after averaging 11.8 points and 8.9 rebounds per game during the 2012-13 season.
The fourth trade, the Jam traded returning player rights of Jamil Wilson and its 2015 fifth-round pick (79th overall, originally owned by the LA D-Fenders) to the Texas Legends in exchange for the returning player rights to Jarrid Famous (pending physical) and Texas' 2015 second-round pick (20th overall, originally owned by the Idaho Stampede).
