Cincinnati, OH- The Cincinnati Cyclones (35-25-2-0) fell to the Toledo Walleye on Sunday afternoon, 4-1. Forward Jesse Schultz had the lone marker for the Cyclones.
After the Walleye took a 3-0 lead after the first on a pair of goals from Christian Hilbrich and a lone tally from Colin Jacobs, Toledo added one more in the second from forward Shane Berschbach to extend their lead to 4-0 after 40 minutes.
The Cyclones got on the board in the third when Schultz came streaking down the right side and snapped in a shot from the circle that peat Walleye goaltender Pat Nagle to cut their deficit to 4-1.
Cincinnati had several more quality scoring chances, however could not add another and fell to the Walleye, 4-1. Shots in this game were tied, 27-27, with Cyclones goaltender Paul Berrafato stopping 23 in the loss. Cincinnati continues their four-game home stand on Tuesday against the Indy Fuel. Face-off is scheduled for 7:35pm ET.
