Norfolk, VA - A three-in-three concludes on Sunday afternoon at the Scope as the Admirals host the Icemen for the final time this season.

Game #65

Admirals (25-32-6-1) vs Jacksonville (24-32-7-1)

Scope Arena

2:00 pm

Head-to-Head:

Norfolk and Jacksonville conclude the season series on Sunday afternoon with the eighth and final matchup of the year. It has been a tightly contested series with five of the first seven matchups being decided by one goal, and all five of those going into overtime or a shootout.

Brodie Dupont has led all scorers in the series with 13 points (2g, 11a), however Darik Angeli has been the Admirals leading scorer with five goals (5g, 6a). Five other different Admirals have scored more than one goal against Jacksonville this season (Grant Besse, Max Cook, Christian Horn, Patrick D'Amico, Chase Harrison). Jimmy Lodge leads the Icemen with nine points (4g, 5a) this season. Jacksonville captain Garet Hunt is one of two Icemen to record four goals against the Admirals this season, joined by Elgin Pearce. Both players have six points (4g, 2a) in the season series. Former Admiral Tim Daly is one of ten Icemen to score more than once against the Admirals this season.

Austin Lotz is the only Jacksonville goaltender to have played against the Admirals this season, winning each of his three starts allowing 3.21 goals per game, while posting a save percentage of .902. Both Ty Reichenbach and Jamie Murray have faced the Icemen playing in five and three games respectively.

Scouting the Icemen:

Jacksonville heads to Norfolk after topping Atlanta in overtime on Saturday night at Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth, GA. The Icemen are only two points back from the Admirals with a game in hand in the South Division standings.

Elgin Pearce leads the Icemen offense with 47 points (21g, 26a) in 58 games this season. Tied with Pearce is linemate Jimmy Lodge (17g, 30a). The duo is the only two players to have surpassed the 40-point mark for the Icemen this season. Jacksonville has five other players who have reached double digits in goals this season.

Austin Lotz, who has faced and beat the Admirals three times, has appeared in 33 games posting a record a 17-13-1-1. Lotz also spent time in the AHL with the Manitoba Moose this season. The netminder is allowing 2.99 goals per game in addition to a .893 save percentage.

Keep Climbing:

An assist on Saturday night moved Brodie Dupont within four points of league leading Shawn Szydlowski from Fort Wayne. The captain, who has 68 points (21g, 47a) is attempting to become the first Admiral to ever win a league scoring title. Dupont is also one of only two Admirals to have appeared in every Norfolk game this season.

Seven and Streaking:

Saturday's victory was the seventh straight home victory for the Admirals, continuing the longest streak since the team returned to the ECHL. All seven of the Admirals home victories during the current streak have come over South Division foes (Greenville, Atlanta, Jacksonville). Only twice since 2005-06 have the Admirals won more than ten consecutive games at home.

Playoff Picture:

Heading into Sunday the Admirals are five points back from Atlanta in the fourth and final playoff spot in the South Division. Norfolk, with a game in hand on Atlanta, is also two points ahead of Jacksonville in sixth place, however the Icemen have a game in hand on the Admirals.
