
Real Salt Lake Welcomes Seattle Sounders FC to Sandy on Wednesday

SANDY, Utah - Real Salt Lake is set to welcome defending MLS Cup champion Seattle Sounders FC on Wednesday, September 2 at 7:30 p.m. MT at Rio Tinto Stadium. The match will be broadcast live on KMYU, the KSL TV app andESPN700 radio.

RSL returns home for the first time since March 7 after playing to a dramatic 4-4 draw at Portland on Saturday in a game that saw RSL score two goals in the final five minutes of the match - including a stoppage-time goal from Sam Johnson - to secure the point on the road. Also notching goals in the draw were Corey Baird, Damir Kreilach and Giuseppe Rossi who scored his first goal in Major League Soccer.
Wednesday will be the 26th all-time meeting in the regular season between RSL and the Sounders who in 2019 topped RSL in the Western Conference Semifinal 2-0 en route to claiming its second MLS Cup Crown.
The Sounders enter the match after beating LAFC 3-1 in Seattle on Sunday.
