Real Salt Lake Caps Home Spell Wednesday against LA Galaxy

SANDY, Utah - Real Salt Lake is set to host the LA Galaxy on Wednesday, September 23 at Rio Tinto Stadium to cap its four-match home stand for September. The match will kick off at 7:30 p.m. MT and will be broadcast live on KMYU, the KSL TV and ESPN700 radio.

RSL enters its midweek clash with the Galaxy after falling 2-1 to Vancouver on Saturday, despite a late equalizing goal from Justin Meram. The loss was the club's second consecutive defeat at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Saturday will be the 41st all-time meeting between RSL and the Galaxy with RSL trailing the MLS original 14-17-9 since 2005. However, RSL holds a positive home record of 7-5-7 over Wednesday's visitors.

In the last meeting between the sides, RSL suffered a 2-1 defeat in September 2019, a match that saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic notch the game-winning goal in the 80th minute. The Galaxy enters Wednesday's contest having fallen 2-0 to the Colorado Rapids on Saturday and currently sits 8th in the Western Conference.
