This year, a second station -- WPAZ 1370-AM in Pottstown -- will broadcast 64 of the Reading Royals season games. The station will not broadcast Friday night Royals games in October or November, and will not broadcast tonight's game.
"I am very happy to be working with WPAZ-1370 out of Pottstown," said John Curtis, Director of Broadcasting for the Reading Royals. "Our goal is to allow fans in Reading and the surrounding areas to have easy access to follow their team. Teaming up with WPAZ allows us to come closer to achieving that."
WPAZ serves Berks, Montgomery and Chester counties. Curtis will be doing play-by-play commentary for all televised games. Ed Benkin will provide radio commentary for tonight's game.
