Nextel Cup is on the line between Sea Wolves and Bandits

BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Sea Wolves and Jackson Bandits professional hockey teams are proud to announce Nextel has placed the Nextel Cup up for grabs between the two teams. The team with the most wins during the 12-games in the regular season series, will hoist the cup on March 29 at Jackson.

The ‘Nextel Cup' provides one more great opportunity for a strong partnership with the Sea Wolves and the Bandits, which enables Nextel to be more involved on a local level."

"We are proud to partner with Nextel in this all-Mississippi competition," said Sea Wolves president Bo McMurphy. "The Nextel Cup will add even more incentive to the intense rivalry with the Bandits and it all begins on Sunday in Biloxi. "

"Every rivalry has a purpose and our goal is to have the Nextel Cup return to Jackson this season. The first of 12 head-to-head games in the battle for the Nextel Cup is the Sea Wolves home opener at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. An adult purchasing an individual game ticket at all Sea Wolves Sunday home games this season, will receive one FREE ticket for a child 12 and under.
