Reading Fightin Phils News Release
The Reading Fightin Phils were shut out by the Richmond Flying Squirrels on Saturday night. Reading leads the series 3-2.
Reading recorded three hits in the first seven innings. Madison Stokes had a base knock, while Josh Stephen had back to back singles. Bryson Stott stole his second bag of the season, while he and Jack Conley worked walks.
Adam Leverett (L, 0-5) had his best Double-A start throwing 4.1 innings allowing just three hits and one earned run. The righty struck out three. Jonathan Hennigan inherited a run in the fifth with just one out. The reliever got a bunt ground ball and fielded it cleanly to push a double play. Noah Skirrow worked three clean frames with just one hit and five strikeouts.
Tomorrow's contest at the Richmond Flying Squirrels begins at 5:05pm.
