RazorSharks' Carrawell named to ABA All-Star Team

(Rochester, NY) It was announced earlier today that Rochester RazorSharks' forward Chris Carrawell has been named to the East team for the ABA All-Star Game, which will take place February 11th at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida. Head Coach Rod Baker was named an assistant to the squad last week.

The former Duke standout, Carrawell is averaging 17.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3 assists in 19 games this season for the first-place RazorSharks. Carrawell is the 6th All-Star named by the league, including former NBA star Tim Hardaway, who plays and coaches for the Florida Pit Bulls. Two players will continue to be announced daily until both All-Star rosters have been filled.

In other news, the RazorSharks held onto the #4 spot in the ABA Power Rankings which were released this morning. The team currently holds first place in the Connie Hawkins-Roger Brown Division, with a record of 16-3. Rochester will be back on the court to face the Buffalo Rapids on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. at the Blue Cross Arena. The RazorSharks have defeated the Rapids in all four previous meetings between the teams this season, including a 94-91 victory in Buffalo on January 11th.
