Maywood Buzz News Release

Orange County, CA - Former NBA All-Star, Slam Dunk Champ will make his 2006 OC Buzz debut Saturday, January 28th, 2006 at 7:00pm when the Buzz travel into Carson, CA to play the Los Angeles Aftershock at Veterans Park Sports Complex. "We have been waiting for this day to come. With Ced working on his TV show, Internet show, radio show and also for the Phoenix Suns, it has been hard fro him to fit us into his schedule. Finally he has a weekend free and will be here to join us as we take on our rival" stated Buzz Head Coach Burrel Lee III.

The Buzz (8-16) who are coming off a heart breaking lost to the Beijing Aoshen 90-89 are up 2-0 against the Aftershock (7-10) who are coming off a split with the Fresno Heatwave this past weekend. The Buzz who opened the season 3-0, then went on that dreadful 13 game losing streak has turned it around and the addition of Ceballos just makes this team stronger.

Cedric who has played in the NBA with the Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, was the NBA slam dunk champ in 1992 with his World famous Blindfold dunk. Last season the Stars played the Long Beach Jam and they had Master P. Little Romeo and his crew was yelling 'Bad knees, Bad Knees' and out of no where Cedric came baseline and threw down a one handed tomahawk dunk over Master P, and they stopped chanting. That was signs of the back in the day high flyer Cedric.

"It is great to have a guy with his basketball playing experience, and his knowledge and love for the game to help our younger players grow. He does this for the love and the fun and we are happy to have him with us" added coach Lee. "It is a blessing to see Ceballos, Dennis Rodman, Olyden Polynice, Gary Grant, LaShawn Daniels, Mike McGee, Keith Closs and all the other former NBA stars that are here in the ABA teaching this young guys how to be Pro's" says Lee.
