Shelman, Castile Named Players of the Week

January 24, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Los Angeles, CA. Derrick Pearson, host of ABALIVETALK, announced that Terence Shelman of the Florida Pit Bulls and LaMar Castile of the San Jose Skyrockets were named ABA Players of the Week. The awards were announced on ABALIVETALK, the weekly talk show for the American Basketball Association. According to Pearson, "This job of picking the East and West Players of the Week gets tougher every week. Some of the performances by ABA players are mindboggling - huge scoring games, incredible rebounding and block shots, amazing assists. The ABA's rules and style of play create a platform for these types of performances. It's great."

Shelman of Florida posted 16 points and 17 rebounds alongside Tim Hardaway when the Pit Bulls ended Indiana's unbeaten streak while Castile was spectacular for San Jose as they settled in at #5 on the ABA Pit Bull Power Rankings.
