Hester To Sing At All-Star Game

Published on January 24, 2006 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Sunrise, FL. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that Danielle Hester, a featured performer in the ABA's national Shooting Starz talent search, will perform "God Bless America" at the ABA All-Star game to be played at the BankAtlantic Center on Saturday, February 11, in Sunrise, Florida.

Danielle is currently attending the University of West Florida having graduated as class president and Summa cum Laude from her high school, and has been the winner of many talent contests and beauty pageants on the U.S. mainland and Hawaii, including winning the Hawaii State Singing Title with a performance of Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On," the theme song from the motion picture, "Titanic." She also performed with the Sawmill Band in Chumuckla, Florida, the Grand Ole Opry of the South.

Earlier this season, Danielle sang "God Bless America" at an Indiana Alley Cats ABA game at halftime and virtually silenced the crowd with the performance. According to Ms. Hester, "My ultimate goal is to be a famous country singer and I really appreciate the opportunity being provided me by Shooting Starz and the ABA. I am looking forward to performing at the ABA All-Star game."

Shooting Starz is part of an ABA Entertainment initiative - a national talent search modeled after the more famous American Idol and Nashville Stars competions. Shooting Starz will be coming to cities throughout the U.S. and Canada shortly.
