Welcome the Sharks, PBL Champions, Back Home

Rochester RazorSharks News Release
Come out and welcome the Rochester RazorSharks home. The Sharks reclaimed the Premier Basketball League championship with an 87-84 win in Lawton last night. It is the third PBL title in four years for Rod Baker's crew.
The team returns to Rochester on Delta flight 4150 from Minneapolis with a scheduled 6:46pm arrival. A formal reception for the team is being planned for Wednesday.
Rochester won the title in the decisive third game of the best-of-three PBL championship series. The RazorSharks dethroned the defending champion Cavalry with a late fourth quarter push by scoring nine of the game's last 13 points.
"It's always good," said coach Rod Baker. "Our guys fought hard, played hard. They played like champions."
Throughout the postseason, Rochester's aggressive attack-the-basket style resulted in an imbalance in fouls called in their favor that didn't sit well with opposing teams. The RazorSharks left an arena full of unhappy Lawton fans claiming the refs were calling a one sided game.
"They aren't used to losing," said Baker. "It doesn't take anything away from what we accomplished."
The Premier Basketball League is expected to comment on the matter. Two PBL teams have withdrawn from the league in protest. The Halifax Rainmen and Saint John Mill Rats issued formal announcements this week.
