Rayl Joins Aeros for DH

The Cleveland Indians have announced that LHP Mike Rayl has been promoted to the Akron Aeros from the Carolina Mudcats. Rayl is expected to start the second game of this evening's doubleheader against the Altoona Curve. It will be his debut at the Double-A level.

Rayl, 23, was 10-8, 4.18 in 26 starts for the Mudcats. He was a 15th round selection by the Tribe in 2009.

The Aeros roster now stands at 25 players. An updated roster and transaction list are attached. The first-place Aeros begin a nine-game road trip that will finish the regular season tonight against the Curve with a doubleheader at 5:30.
