Beloit Sky Carp News Release

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers jumped out in front of Beloit early and never relinquished their lead. The Rattlers scored six runs off of Snappers' starter Michael Tonkin in the first three innings and then four more off of Chris Armstrong to plate 10 by the end of the fifth inning.

Beloit's offense tried to get back into the game scoring three of their own in the fourth inning and adding two to their tally in the eighth but Wisconsin's bats were too much on this night. James Beresford added a triple for Beloit and Wang Wei Lin picked up a pair of RBI.

Khris Davis had two doubles and a two-run homer for the Timber Rattlers tonight. Davis drove in five giving him an impressive 48 RBI on the season.

The "Brody Trophy Player of the Game" goes to Wang Wei Lin. The Beloit center fielder went 2-4 with a double and knocked in two runs in the losing effort.

Beloit will look to take the series by winning game three tomorrow night at Pohlman Field. Miguel Munoz is set to get the start for the Snappers with first pitch scheduled for 7:00 pm.
