Quad Cities River Bandits News Release
CLINTON, Iowa - The Quad Cities River Bandits held out to take the continuation of Wednesday' series opener 9-3 before falling 1-0 in the seven inning game which followed. The Bandits dropped an early lead in game one by allowing three runs in the fourth. They regained the lead in the fifth by plating four of their own, and held on to the lead through the ninth. Quad Cities fell on a walk-off by James Jones in the bottom of the seventh of game two.
Justin Smith (4-0) stayed undefeated as he picked his fourth win in the continuation of Wednesday's game. He went three innings, struck out five and started his tenure in the fourth, where today's continued game picked up. Dan Calhoun (1) picked up a three inning save, his first save of 2010, for Quad Cities while fanning five.
