Idaho Falls Chukars News Release

Idaho Falls, ID - The offense has gotten rolling early for the Ogden Raptors in their series against the Chukars, and tonight was no exception. Ogden scored the first 18 runs of the game, sending the Chukars to an 18-1 loss. With Missoula's win over Orem, the Chukars are now tied with the Osprey for first place in the Northern Division.

Ogden once again got the ball rolling early, scoring a pair of runs in the first. Sauryn Lao blooped a single to right with one out, and the next batter Ryan Ward walked. With two out, Marco Hernandez singled home Lao, and Zac Ching followed with an RBI single of his own, making it 2-0 Ogden.

From there, the Raptors poured it on, scoring four runs in the second, seven in the fourth, two in the fifth, and three in the sixth inning. Ogden drew eight walks in the game and pounded out 19 hits. It is the third time this season that the Raptors have scored at least 18 runs.

Isaiah Henry continued his hot hitting, going 1 for 2 with a triple and drawing two walks. Henry has hit safely in each of his last five games.

The Chukars look to avoid the sweep tomorrow as they send Bryar Johnson to the hill. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 PM, and limited tickets are available by visiting ifchukars.com.
