
Owlz Lose Third Consecutive Game to Osprey

(Missoula, MT) The Orem Owlz (8-18) rough month of July continued on Friday night, losing 6-3 to the Missoula Osprey (15-11), dropping their third consecutive game to start the road trip.
After knocking in five runs in the series opener, Spencer Brickhouse opened the scoring in game three, smacking a double in the right-center, scoring Tristan Carranza, giving the Osprey a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
After Missoula upped the lead to 3-0 in the fourth inning on a Kevin Watson two-run homer, the Owlz got the bats going in the 5th. David Clawson started the frame with a double and later scored on a Johan Sala infield single. Jeans Flores then tied the game at three, smashing a two-run homer to left, his first of the season.
Missoula grabbed the lead back in the seventh thanks to an RBI double off the bat of Carson Maxwell and then added an insurance run on an Axel Andueza RBI single, extending the lead to 5-3. Missoula added another run in the eighth, scoring the final three runs of the game.
Missoula's reliever Liu Fuenmayor (2-1) earned the win for the Osprey while Seth Ballew (0-1) was charged with the loss. Ryan Fritzie (3) earned the save. The Owlz and the Osprey wrap up the series on Saturday night at 7:05. Kelvin Moncion makes the start for the Owlz against Dustin Lacaze for the Osprey.
