Colorado Rapids News Release

Colorado Rapids' striker Gabriel Torres played 59 minutes for Panama on Tuesday night in a goalless draw with Canada in Panama City.

As expected, Panama were the stronger side in the first 45, testing Canadian goalkeeper Milan Borjan in a feisty encounter.

Torres was replaced just short of the hour mark by Alberto Quintero, before the home team had Anibal Godoy sent off for a second yellow card. Despite having a man advantage for the final 17 minutes, the Canadians were unable to make it count.

Both teams will compete in next year's Concacaf Gold Cup. Canada qualified automatically. Panama booked their berth via the Copa Centroamericana.
