The Kitchener Rangers hosted the Sarnia Sting on Friday, December 10th at 7:30pm at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. This is the second time The Sting has visited The Aud this season, the previous matchup resulting in a 5-1 win for the Kitchener Rangers on October 15th.

The Rangers are without Arber Xhekaj, Simon Motew, and Joseph Serpa, and forward Jesse Fishman remains out due to injury.

Antonino Pugliese scores for the Blueshirts early in the 1st period (assisted by Trent Swick and Roman Schmidt), for his second OHL goal in his 8th game with the Rangers this season. The goals just kept on coming, as Francesco Pinelli and Mitchell Martin both score in the first. The lone goal for the Sting is scored by a plethora of Nolan's ( Nolan Dann (15) scores, assisted by#49 Nolan DeGurse, #86 Nolan Burke).

Ty Hollett got his first Ontario Hockey League goal in the second period. Declan McDonnell and Carson Rehkopf also scored, and the Rangers left the period with 6-1 lead.

The hats flew in the third as Carson Rehkopf scored twice to get his first Ontario Hockey League hat trick. Pinelli closes the night off with another goal, and the Rangers skate away with a 9-1 win over the Sting.

Our next game is in Windsor tomorrow as we take on the Spitfires at 7:05pm. The road games continue on Wednesday, December 15th as The Rangers head to Owen Sound.
