APPLEBEE'S PARK (Lexington, KY) - The Lexington Legends Fall Country Music Concert featuring Country Music Legend Randy Travis with LeAnn Rimes and Craig Morgan will headline the second major concert of 2010 at Applebee's Park, Friday, September 24th at 7:00 PM. All concert tickets are $37.00 and go ON SALE Friday, July 23rd at 10:00 AM. With lifetime sales in excess of 22 million, Randy Travis is one of the biggest country male record sellers of all-time. Thirteen of his prior albums are Gold, eight have gone Platinum, two are Double-Platinum and another is Triple-Platinum with his 1987 album Always and Forever selling more than five million copies. His other honors include seven Grammyà Awards, nine Academy of Country Music statuettes, 10 American Music Awards, two People's Choice awards, seven Music City News awards, seven Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Association and five Country Music Association honors. In addition, three of his performances earned CMA Song of the Year honors, "On the Other Hand" (1986), "Forever and Ever Amen" (1987) and "Three Wooden Crosses" (2003).
LeAnn Rimes has sold more than 37 million albums, won two Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards. Rimes is the youngest recipient of a Grammy Award, and was also the first country recording artist to win the "Best New Artist" category. Her last album, "Family," marked the first time Rimes has written or co-written every song on an album and garnered two Grammy nominations. Rimes has scored numerous hit singles in her career, including "Can't Fight the Moonlight," which went #1 in 11 countries, and "How Do I Live," which is the second longest charting song ever on the Billboard Hot 100. In the fall, she will release her new album, Lady & Gentlemen, where she reinterprets classic country songs by men. The first single, "Swingin'," is available now and at radio.
Craig Morgan has built his tremendous popularity with massive radio airplay of his signature hits, including "Bonfire," "Redneck Yacht Club," "International Harvester," and "That's What I Love About Sunday," which was Billboard's Most Played Country Song of 2005. Morgan has performed on the legendary stage of the Grand Ole Opry more than 170 times, and plays over 200 sold-out concerts a year. He spent ten years on active duty in the U.S. Army before launching his music career, and makes a point to perform as often as possible at U.S. military installations both in the U.S. and abroad. Morgan was awarded the USO Merit Award in 2006 for his tireless support of U.S. soldiers and their families.
