San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 17, 2015) - The San Antonio Rampage (9-1-4-0) came away with a 5-2 win over the Texas Stars (8-4-0-1) in front of 5,617 at the AT&T Center in the team's Cool School Day game Tuesday morning. Mikko Rantanen tallied three assists to earn the First Star of the Game, and Andrew Agozzino notched a goal and an assist, earning the Second Star of the Game.
Duncan Siemens scored the game's opening goal at the 14:22 mark of the first period. It was the first goal of the season for Siemens and the second of his pro career.
Early in the second stanza, Agozzino's wrister beat Stars goaltender Jack Campbell to give the Rampage a 2-0 lead. Michael Schumacher and Marc-Andre Cliché each scored within a 20 second span to give the Rampage a 4-0 lead midway through the frame. With the secondary assist on Schumacher's goal, Maxim Noreau tallied his 200th AHL point. Reid Petryk's shorthanded goal in the final two minutes capped a four-goal period that gave the Silver and Black a 5-0 advantage heading into the second intermission and prompted the Stars to replace Campbell for John Muse to start the third period.
Devin Shore and Matt Mangene each tallied goals for the Stars in the final frame, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit, and the Rampage secured a 5-2 win.
The Rampage outshot the Stars 29-24, including a 15-7 margin in the second period. Spencer Martin finished with 22 saves on 24 shots.
Key Stat
With a goal and an assist, Agozzino now has 16 points on the season, launching him into a tie for sixth in the league in scoring despite having played only eight games.

San Antonio's top two lines remained unchanged from Sunday's win over Texas. Patrick Bordeleau returned to the lineup following a three-game suspension and skated on the Rampage's third line with Joey Hishon and Troy Bourke. Spencer Martin made his second straight start in net.
