November 17, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Rockford IceHogs News Release
Rockford, Ill. - In June the Chicago Blackhawks captured their third Stanley Cup in six seasons and now fans will have the opportunity to relive the thrilling moments with the Rockford premiere of the team's championship movie, "Hat Trick."
The film, produced by Blackhawks TV and Banner Collective, will premiere in Rockford at the Coronado Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. It's just the second time the movie will be shown to a live audience as the Blackhawks launched the world premiere on Monday, Nov. 9 at the Chicago Theatre. Doors to the Coronado in downtown Rockford will open at 6 p.m.
Four players who served as black aces for the Blackhawks during their cup run (Ville Pokka, Ryan Hartman, Viktor Svedberg, and Phillip Danault) will be on hand to sign autographs from 8:15-9 p.m.
Tickets to the viewing are $5 and can be purchased online through IceHogs.com or by calling (815) 968-5222. Every fan in attendance will receive an exclusive Hat Trick movie poster.
The IceHogs have played a large role in developing players to help the Blackhawks claim their third Stanley Cup Championship in six seasons. The Blackhawks 2015 Stanley Cup roster featured 12 players that spent time in Rockford during their career.
The film takes viewers onto the ice and inside the locker room following the historic Game 6 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning at the United Center, which delivered the Blackhawks and their fans the club's first Stanley Cup-clinching victory at home since 1938. The 65-minute feature allows viewers to relive the championship parade and rally at Soldier Field, before following the Cup on its journey across the world with never-before-seen footage.
