
Rampage sign Bellissimo to ATO

SAN ANTONIO â Mar. 17, 2005 â The San Antonio Rampage announced today that the club has signed center Vince Bellissimo to an amateur try-out contract (ATO).
The agreement was made after the 22-year-old Toronto, Ontario native decided to leave Western Michigan University's hockey program and enter the professional ranks.
The Florida Panthers sixth choice (5th round, 158th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft recently concluded his junior season with the WMU Broncos and was named Honorable Mention All-Central Collegiate Hockey Association after concluding the campaign with 37 points (17G, 20A). The team's second-leading scorer, he was tops on the roster with four game-winning goals. He concluded his three-year career with 113 points (49G, 64A) and was named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team as a freshman.
At the same time, the club reassigned center Scott Kelman to their Central Hockey League affiliate Laredo Bucks. Kelman has two points (1G, 1A) in 14 games with the Rampage this season.
