
Bouchard to Join Wolf Pack

HARTFORD, March 17, 2005: Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Jim Schoenfeld has announced the team has agreed to terms with New York Rangers defenseman Joel Bouchard. The 6'1", 209-pound Montreal, Quebec native is expected to join the team in Manchester.
"Joel will add experience and great puck handling abilities to our club," said Schoenfeld. "He's a great addition to the already strong lineup we have heading into the playoffs." All AHL teams submitted their Clear Day rosters to the league today.
Bouchard played 28 games for the Rangers in 2003-04, scoring one goal and assisting on seven others for eight points. In 2002-03, the 31-year-old spent 22 games with Hartford (6-14-20) and 27 games with the Rangers (5-7-12) after being claimed by the Rangers from Buffalo in the 2003 Waiver Draft. He was initially Calgary's seventh choice, 129th overall in the 1992 Entry Draft.
The Wolf Pack's next home game is Wednesday, March 23 against the Lowell Lock Monsters. Cablevision Systems Corporation owns a controlling interest in MSG LP, which also includes the New York Rangers (NHL), New York Knicks (NBA), the New York Liberty (WNBA), the MSG Network, Fox Sports Net and the Madison Square Garden arena complex.
