SAN ANTONIO (March 30, 2014) - Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced Sunday that the San Antonio Rampage (AHL) have recalled from loan goaltender Rob Madore from the team's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Madore, 25, has spent the majority of his time this season with Cincinnati, where he is currently 16-11-0 through 22 games, posting a 2.67 goals against average and a .912 save percentage. He has posted two shutouts for the Cyclones. Through five games with the Rampage this season, Madore has gone 1-2-1 with a 3.23 goals against average and a .906 save percentage.
The 5-foot-10, 176-pound netminder split time last year with the Evansville Icemen (ECHL), the Florida Everblades (ECHL), and the Charlotte Checkers in his second professional season. He made his professional debut with Chicago (ECHL) during the 2010-11 season.
Prior to turning pro, Madore played four years (2008-12) at the University of Vermont and finished his career ranked second all-time in saves (3,352) for the Catamounts.
