San Antonio Rampage News Release

SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 4, 2014) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled forward Anthony Luciani from the club's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.

Luciani, 23, has spent the 2013-14 season with Cincinnati, and his 40 points tops all Cyclones skaters after being assigned to the club at the start of the year. Additionally, he leads the Cyclones in goals with 22 on the year. The 5-foot-8, 190-pound winger was named runner-up for the ECHL Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 19. In that time, Luciani registered five goals and two assists in three games, with one of his goals coming as the game-winner.

The Maple, Ontario native has just 10 AHL games under his belt between Rochester and San Antonio, with three goals and one assist in that span. In 118 career ECHL games, he's recorded 48 goals and 57 assists.

Luciani began his career with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League, posting 160 points (73g-87a) in 181 career games. He made his professional and AHL debut with Rochester during the 2010-11 season, scoring two goals and adding an assist in three games to cap the season.

The Rampage kick off their annual Rodeo Road Trip tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. when they face off against the Toronto Marlies for the second time in four days. The 10-game, 23-day journey will finish on Feb. 26 with a game against the Utica Comets.
