Wed., Jan. 29 - PENGUINS 4 vs. Syracuse 0

Eric Hartzell recorded his third shutout of the season with 20 saves in a 4-0 win over the Crunch. Tom Kostopoulos registered a goal and an assist in the game for W-B/Scranton.

Fri., Jan. 31 - PENGUINS 1 vs. Norfolk 2

Penguins defenseman Reid McNeill picked up his first career AHL goal, but John Gibson made 25-of-26 saves to help the Admirals to a 2-1 win over W-B/Scranton.

Sat., Feb. 1 - PENGUINS 0 vs. Rochester 4

W-B/Scranton's offense was kept at bay for a second straight game as Nathan Lieuwen stopped all 26 shots he faced to help the Americans to a 4-0 win over the Penguins.

The Week Ahead

Fri., Feb. 7 - PENGUINS vs. Portland

The Pirates have one win in their last 10 games and have dropped into fifth place in the Atlantic Division with a record of 16-19-2-7. W-B/Scranton defeated Portland, 4-1, on Jan. 18 in Lewiston, Maine.

Sat., Feb. 8 - PENGUINS vs. Adirondack

Adirondack put an end to a three-game losing streak with a 4-1 victory over Hershey last Saturday. The Phantoms (22-20-0-2) are in third place in the Northeast Division. The Penguins are 2-1-0-0 against Adirondack this season.

Sun., Feb. 9 - Penguins at HERSHEY

The Bears are 11-3-1-0 in 2014 and have won nine straight at GIANT Center. Hershey is only two points behind Norfolk and W-B/Scranton, tied for second place in the East Division. The Bears are fourth in the AHL, scoring 3.18 goals per game.

Ice Chips

- Eric Hartzell was named CCM/AHL Goaltender of the Month for January after going 5-2-1 with a 1.33 goals against average, a .944 save percentage and one shutout.

- Hartzell has allowed two goals or less in his last ten starts and leads the league in goals against average (1.85).

- Wednesday's 4-0 win over Syracuse was W-B/Scranton's fourth shutout of the season.

- W-B/Scranton remains perfect when leading after the first (13-0-0-0) and second (15-0-0-0) periods.

- The Penguins rank first in the league in defense, allowing just 2.41 goals per contest.
