San Antonio Rampage News Release

SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 8, 2014) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled defenseman Zach Miskovic from the team's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.

Miskovic, 28, is in his fifth professional season, and first full season with the Rampage. Beginning the season in San Antonio, the blueliner had two assists through 10 games before being loaned to Cincinnati on Dec. 30. Through three games with the Cyclones, Miskovic netted a goal and two assists.

In 27 games with the Silver and Black last year, the 6-foot-1, 197-pound defenseman recorded four goals and nine assists through 27 games after being traded from Chicago on Feb. 14. The River Forest, Ill., native has 201 AHL games under his belt, with the bulk of it being spent with Hershey after turning pro in the 2009-10 season. He has 19 goals and 24 assists in that span.

Prior to his professional career, Miskovic played four full seasons for St. Lawrence University. In 154 games with the Saints, he totaled 27 goals and 46 assists. He began his hockey career in the United States Hockey League with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.

The Rampage will host the Abbotsford Heat once again on Saturday, Jan. 11, after defeating them 5-1 on Tuesday, Jan. 7. The game falls on a Magic 105.3 $1 Hot Dog Night, and is the second of a season-high eight-game homestand for the Rampage. Tickets can be purchased by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or online at sarampage.com.
