Crunch Ink Jordan Henry to AHL Deal

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch signed defenseman Jordan Henry to a one-year AHL contract, Crunch General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today.

Henry, 27, has played in 19 games with the ECHL's Florida Everblades this season, recording 14 points (3g, 11a). He also appeared in two games with the Crunch in November on a professional tryout contract registering nine shots on goal. The Milo, Alberta native is a veteran of 284 AHL games, in which he's recorded 68 career points (22g, 46a) with Rochester, Abbotsford, Chicago, Oklahoma City and Syracuse. Henry earned 18 points (4g, 14a) in 37 career ECHL games with Florida and Stockton. Before turning pro the 6-foot-2, 198-pound blueliner played in 270 WHL contests with the Red Deer Rebels and Moose Jaw Warriors.

Henry is expected to be available when the Crunch travel to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to face the Penguins tonight at 7 p.m.
