Lewiston, ME - The Portland Pirates announced today that they collected over 500 nonperishable and canned food items for Good Shepherd Food Bank during their December food drive. All of the items will be dropped off at Good Shepherd at a later date.

Pirates fans who donated during the food drive received two tickets to the Pirates home game against the Worcester Sharks on January 21st, 201, which were donated by the Pirates.

"We're thrilled with the generosity of Pirates fans in donating to Good Shepherd Food Bank during the holiday season," said Pirates COO Alex Romanoff. "Good Shepherd's role in the community is vital and we're looking forward to supporting them throughout the rest of the season."
