Rampage raise more than $15,000 for Alamo Area Fire and Police Memorial

SAN ANTONIO – Jan. 25, 2005 – The San Antonio Rampage announced today that the jersey auction from their Salute to the Badges Night raised $15,975. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Alamo Area Fire and Police Memorial (AAFPM) wall.

The AAFPM is dedicated to building a wall in the memory of local servants that have given their lives for the greater San Antonio community. The wall will feature names of both full time and volunteer men and women from local firefighters and law enforcement who have died on duty.

The bidding took place at the Express-News Headlines in the SBC Center after the Friday, January 21 game against the Houston Aeros. Partnered with Armadillo Homes, the Rampage players' jerseys were auctioned to the public with the highest bids going towards defenseman Filip Novak's and center Kamil Kreps' jerseys for $1,125 each. Rounding out the top four where right wing Rob Globke's and center Greg Jacina's jerseys which each generated $1,000 each.
