January 25, 2005 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Providence Bruins News Release

The Providence Bruins begin a busy four-game week on Wednesday, January 26 at 7:05 p.m., when they visit the East Division-leading Binghamton Senators. The game will close out the two-game season series between the teams. The Black and Gold took the first meeting, 3-2 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Providence on December 12.

The Bruins return home to host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday, January 28 at 7:05 p.m. on Dunkin' Donuts Mug Night. All fans in attendance will receive a free Providence Bruins mug, courtesy of Dunkin' Donuts. Head coach Scott Gordon's team visits the Portland Pirates on Saturday night, before returning home to host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Sunday, January 30 at 4:05 p.m.

Friday's game will be televised live on COX Sports Television. Corey Masse (play-by-play) and Boston Bruins legend and Hockey Hall of Fame member Gerry Cheevers (analyst) bring you all the action.

Bruin left wing Andy Hilbert continued his climb into franchise history on January 21, when he scored his 20th goal of the season in a 5-4 loss against Portland. The goal was the 84th of his Bruin career, moving him past the late Sergei Zholtok as the all-time leading goal-scorer in team history. He scored again on Saturday night, moving him closer to surpassing Zholtok as the all-time overall points leader. Hilbert has 85-92-177 totals in 199 career games, ranking him second in franchise history, just 10 points shy of moving past Zholtok. Hilbert, now in his fourth season out of the University of Michigan, ranks second in team history with 30 power play goals, one behind former Bruin Cameron Mann. When he suits up on Wednesday, he will play his 200th game, tying him with former Bruin Aaron Downey for ninth in franchise history. Hilbert leads the team and is tied for eighth in AHL scoring with 21-25-46 totals in 44 games, and leads the league with 187 shots on goal.
