SAN ANTONIO ------ The San Antonio Rampage (30-25-10-0) recorded three power-play goals in the second period en route to a 4-0 victory over the Cleveland Monsters (21-33-5-3) on Sunday at the AT&T Center. Forward Michael Joly recorded three power-play points (1g/2a), while netminder Joe Cannata turned away all 19 of Cleveland's shots to earn his first shutout in a Rampage uniform.
San Antonio got out to an early lead 8:52 into the opening period when Tommy Vannelli delivered a pass from behind the net to an open A.J. Greer, who found the back of the cage for the seventh time this season.
Andrew Agozzino extended the lead at 6:33 of the middle frame after Joly found the forward in the left circle for his eighth power-play goal of the season. San Antonio collected its second power-play goal 56 seconds later when Alex Belzile gathered a rebound in the slot and fired a backhander past netminder Jeff Zatkoff. Joly gave the Silver and Black a four-goal advantage with 72 seconds remaining in the period after finishing a centering pass from Samuel Blais for the Rampage's third power-play goal of the period.
San Antonio held the Monsters scoreless throughout the third period to secure a 4-0 victory.
