Cleveland Monsters Goaltender Jeff Zatkoff deflects a San Antonio Rampage shot

SAN ANTONIO, TX - The Cleveland Monsters, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, were defeated by the San Antonio Rampage on Sunday at AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX by a final score of 4-0. With the loss, the Monsters fell to 21-33-5-3 overall this season and with a .403 points percentage, remain alone in seventh place in the AHL's Central Division standings.
San Antonio's A.J. Greer staked the Rampage to a 1-0 lead on Sunday when he struck for an even-strength goal at 8:52 of the opening period. In the second, the Rampage added a trio of power-play goals, from Andrew Agozzino at 6:33, Alex Belzile at 7:29, and Michael Joly at 18:48, to take a 4-0 edge into the final period of play, a score that would lead to a Rampage win by the very same count in the wake of a scoreless third frame.
Cleveland net-minder Jeff Zatkoff fell to 2-5-2 in net this year despite stopping 25 of the 29 pucks he faced on Sunday while San Antonio's Joe Cannata posted a 19-save shutout and improved to 2-0-1 between the pipes this season.
