TACOMA, Wash. - The Tacoma Rainiers (34-25) dropped a 7-1 contest with the Reno Aces (31-28) on Thursday night at Cheney Stadium.

Tacoma jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Powell led off the frame by smacking a single into center field and came around to score on a RBI sacrifice fly from Efren Navarro.
Reno quickly answered with a run in the top of the second inning when catcher Tuffy Gosewisch lined a one-run double off the left-center field wall scoring Zach Borenstein, knotting the score at 1-1.
The Aces piled on six runs in the top of the sixth inning, highlighted by a three-run home run over the left-center field wall from first baseman Kyle Jensen, giving Reno the 7-1 advantage.
