Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders News Release

Norfolk, Va. - Consistent rain and a foreboding forecast combined to postpone Sunday's scheduled series finale for the visiting SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) and host Norfolk Tides (Baltimore Orioles) at Harbor Park. The teams will make it up when Norfolk visits PNC Field from Aug. 15-17.

With wins in the only games played during this visit, the RailRiders secured the SWB franchise's first sweep at Harbor Park in the Yankees era, and the franchise's first series win there at all since taking two of three in another rain-shortened set from Aug. 10-13, 2009.

SWB's road trip shifts to Durham for a 5:05 p.m. series opener on Memorial Day Monday. The RailRiders return home for an eight-game homestand on June 2. It starts with the first of four against the Columbus Clippers (Cleveland Indians) at 6:35 p.m. The Thirsty Thursday presented by Budweiser features $1 Bud Lights and Pepsi products.
