ALLENTOWN, Pa - The Louisville Bats racked up another road victory at Coca-Cola Park, 10-6 on Sunday afternoon; their first ever sweep in Lehigh Valley finishing the road trip with a stellar 5-1 record. 14 hits and eight Bats' hitters producing an RBI powered the victory.

The Bats fell behind early but would later rally. After scoring twice in the first and then giving up five runs in the bottom of the inning, Louisville held Lehigh Valley until the eighth inning when the IronPigs' Cody Asche hit a solo homer. In between, the Bats scored seven, winning 10-6.

The scoring began in the top of the first inning. Louisville took an early 2-0 lead after a pair of doubles by shortstop Juan Perez and second baseman Carlos Triunfel with the addition of a sacrifice fly. That lead was quickly erased in the bottom of the inning after left-handed pitcher Cody Reed allowed five runs by the way of a single and a grand slam.

The Bats scored four more to rally and secure the victory in the fourth and sixth inning. In the fourth, first baseman Brandon Allen and left fielder Kyle Waldrop both doubled to contribute to the six doubles on the day for the Bats. After a wild pitch and sacrifice fly, two runs scored. A couple more doubles and another sacrifice fly lead to the same result in the sixth. Louisville lead, 6-5. Louisville added four more in the late innings to secure the series finale victory.

Cody Reed (4-2, 2.70) picked up his fourth victory. His day ended after six innings allowing four hits, five runs, four earned, two walks, and seven strikeouts. Reed threw 78 pitches, 52 for strikes. He kept the IronPigs hitless and faced the minimum after the first inning.

Right handed pitcher Zach Eflin (5-1, 2.81) suffered his first loss after allowing nine hits, six earned runs, and striking out three in five innings of work.

The Bats return to Louisville Slugger Field for a seven-game homestand tomorrow to square up with the Toledo Mud Hens. The Memorial Day matchup will feature Reds' pitcher righty Anthony DeSclafani (0-1, 9.00), while Toledo has yet to announce a starter.
