August 29, 2009 - Eastern League (EL1)
Chesapeake Baysox News Release

READING, Pa. - An inside-the-park home run by first baseman Eric Crozier gave the Baysox a 1-0 lead, but the rains suspended action in the doubleheader against Reading in the bottom of the second inning. The Phillies will have a runner on first base and one out when the two teams pick up action tomorrow at First Energy Stadium at 6:05 p.m.

RHP Pedro Beato (0-2, 5.85) will take the mound for the Baysox tomorrow in relief of starter Ryohei Tanaka, who worked 1.1 scoreless innings before the stoppage.

In game two, RHP Brandon Erbe (3-3, 2.40) takes the hill against a starter yet to be determined for the Phillies.

The Baysox 17th season as the class AA affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles is going strong! Check out www.baysox.com to see all that's going on at the stadium this year, and don't miss a moment of the action as the Baysox attempt to bring home their first Eastern League championship.
