Cleburne Railroaders News Release

CLEBURNE, Texas - John Hayes drove in his first professional RBI with a groundout in the 6th inning, but Cleburne lost its 12th consecutive game in a 11-5 defeat to the Gary SouthShore RailCats at The Depot on Monday night.

Hayes entered into the lineup after Levi Scott was pulled from the game in the 5th inning, forcing Cleburne to forfeit the DH when Patrick Palmeiro moved to first base.

The RailCats swept the five-game series, outscoring Cleburne 52-23, and sweeping the seven-game season series.

Levi Scott opened the scoring with a two-run homer - his third of the series -- in the 1st inning.

The RailCats then scored nine unanswered runs, including a five-run fifth inning that chased Mincey from the game.
