Wichita 7, Chicago 6- Box Score

The Wichita Wingnuts used a seven-run third inning to defeat the Chicago Dogs by a score of 7-6 on Monday.

In the top of the third, Hunter Clanin (1 RBI), Zach Nehrir (2), Tony Thomas (2), Logan Trowbridge (1), and Nick Rotola (1) all batted in runs for the Wingnuts in the third to give them a 7-2 lead. In the next frame, Joe Benson, who homered earlier, hit an RBI double to bring the game to 7-4. Chicago scored one in the fourth and Stephen Perez hit a solo home run (1) in the seventh to bring the game to its final score.

Wichita's starter Jordan Cooper (7-5) allowed five runs in six innings to earn the win. Daniel Tillman pitched a scoreless ninth to earn the save (19).

Fargo-Moorhead 9, St. Paul 7- Box Score

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (38-28) topped the St. Paul Saints (37-30) by a score of 9-7 on Monday.

Tim Colwell (2-for-3) led the RedHawks with a triple and three RBIs. Maikol Gonzalez hit the only home run for Fargo-Moorhead, a solo home run (5).

Kyle Barrett and Zach Walters homered for the Saints.

Will Solomon (8-4) was awarded the win after giving up four runs over 6.1 innings.

Gary SouthShore 11, Cleburne 5- Box Score

The Gary SouthShore RailCats (39-27) turned 19 hits into 11-runs in an 11-5 win over the Cleburne Railroaders (20-48) on Monday.

The Railroaders took a 2-0 lead on a two-run home run by Levi Scott in the bottom of the first. The RailCats answered by scoring on an error before D.K. Carey hit a two-run single to make it a 3-2 game. Gary SouthShore broke it open in the fifth when Tillman Pugh hit an RBI single, Wilfredo Gimenez hit an RBI double, Reggie Wilson hit a sacrifice fly, and Garrett Copeland hit a two-run home run (2) to make it a 9-2 game. The RailCats never looked back.

Alex Gunn (7-3) gave up five runs (three earned) in seven innings to earn the win.
