Gary SouthShore Railcats News Release
The Gary SouthShore RailCats Baseball Club has announced the following trade:
Outfielder Josh Wettlaufer has been acquired from Evansville of the Frontier League in exchange for catcher Jud Kindle.
Wettlaufer had appeared briefly for Evansville this season with one hit in four at bats. He played briefly last season for current RailCats manager Greg Tagert with Springfield-Ozark of the Frontier League, where he batted .333, going 7 for 21 with one home run. He played at the College of St. Scholastic in Minnesota, where he earned Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors in 2004 as a senior after earned UMAC Freshman of the Year honors in 2001.
Kindle appeared in four games with the RailCats, going 1 for 9.
