LAST TIME OUT: Dillan Fox tied the game in the third period and Jordan Carvalho knocked in the overtime game-winner as the Rail Yard Dawgs came from behind and beat the Evansville Thunderbolts in overtime, 4-3, Saturday night at Berglund Center.

BAKK TO THE STINGRAYS: Rail Yard Dawgs defenseman Cam Bakker was called-up to the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays on Tuesday. Bakker opened the season in South Carolina but did not appear in a game before being released on November 5. He joined the Dawgs and played two games, recorded three assists and was +5 in the two Roanoke wins over the weekend. Bakker made his ECHL debut in the Stingrays 4-2 win over Atlanta on Tuesday.

CLASS OF THE LEAGUE: Macon enters Friday's game with eight consecutive wins and points in all nine of their games this season, putting them alone in first place with 17 points. The Mayhem have allowed only 18 goals in nine games. Their average of two goals against per game is the best goal-scoring defense in the SPHL.

MORE THAN JUST DEFENSE: The Mayhem average 3.7 goals per game, tied with the Dawgs for the third-best goal-scoring offense in the league. Jake Trask leads the Mayhem and the league with 12 points (8 G, 4 A) and Dakota Klecha is right behind him with 11 points (5 G, 6 A). Trask finished second in the SPHL in scoring last season with 69 points (27 G, 42 A).

HOME SWEET HOME: The Rail Yard Dawgs improved to 3-1-0 at home after Saturday's OT win and have now scored 19 goals in their four home games. Conversely, Roanoke has just three combined goals in its two road games, during which it is 0-2-0.

IN EXTRA TIME: Saturday's 4-3 OT win was the second game this season that has required more than the 60 minutes of regulation to be decided. Roanoke is now 2-0 in overtime games after previously taking out Knoxville, 4-3, in OT on October 20.

HERE COMES COLIN: Colin Murray had five points (two goals, three assists) during the weekend sweep of the Evansville Thunderbolts and now has points in four straight games. Murray was held off the score sheet in the first two games of the season but his eight points over six games is second on the team, trailing only Maxime Guyon. Murray has also picked up multiple points in three of the four games during his current streak.

UP NEXT: The Dawgs head south to North Carolina on Saturday night to take on the Fayetteville Marksmen. It's the third meeting of the season between the two teams with Roanoke sitting at 0-2-0. Puck drop at the Crown Coliseum is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
