Prince Albert Raiders News Release

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - The Prince Albert Raiders will be wearing specially designed jerseys as their part in Breast Cancer Awareness month tomorrow night when they entertain the Regina Pats at 7:00 PM at the Art Hauser Centre. The jerseys, designed by the Raiders marketing staff will be auctioned off immediately following the game with all proceeds to the Canadian Cancer Society.

A very special night will begin with cancer survivor Marge Chrustz of Prince Albert dropping the ceremonial face off. The Raiders jerseys have the pink ribbon, the symbol associated with the fight against breast cancer on the front of their jerseys with the word Raiders stylized over top. The Raider logo is the shoulder patch on both sides, highlighted in pink with Prince Albert Raiders in pink around the collar. The player names and numbers also are highlighted in pink.

In the second intermission 2 jerseys will be auctioned Ryan Button and Riley Raider, so fans get an idea of the post game event. There will be spotters at ice level courtesy CTV, and in the stands, to assist in the event conducted by Myron Schmaltz of Schmaltz auctions.

Immediately following the game the rest of the Raider players will remain on the ice and have their jerseys auctioned starting with the goaltenders, then going in ascending numerical order.

Proceeds from the jersey auction will go the Canadian Cancer Society with all monies staying within the province of Saskatchewan to support Cancer research, education and peer support. Pre bidding continues up until 5:00 PM Friday on www.raiderhockey.com.
