Prince Albert Raiders News Release

Prince Albert, Sask. - The Prince Albert Raiders are proud to announce the signing of 2006-born defenceman Seth Tansem to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.

Tansem, who hails from Kelowna, B.C., was drafted in 43rd overall in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft.

"He excels as a puck-moving power-play specialist," said Raiders Director of Player Personnel Bruno Zarrillo. "We are excited to add him to our group as he will help our transition from defence to offence."

Tansem currently plays for Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna's U18 Prep team. The 5'11, 160 rearguard has three goals and 19 assists in 16 games played this season. As a member of Team British Columbia at the 2021 WHL Cup, he had three helpers in five contests.

In the abbreviated 2020-21 season, Tansem totalled two goals and 15 assists in just five games.

Tansem is the second prospect from the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft to sign with the Raiders, joining 13th overall selection Cole Peardon in putting pen to paper.

The Raiders end their schedule before the holiday break this weekend with a home-and-home series against the Saskatoon Blades, beginning on Friday night at the Art Hauser Centre. Puck drop is 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the Raiders Office during open hours and at SaskTix.ca.
