Winnipeg Ice News Release
The Winnipeg ICE have recalled defenseman Jonas Woo from the Winnipeg Bruins of the Manitoba AAA U18 Hockey League.
Woo was selected in the first round, 18th overall in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft.
The 5'9", 150 pound blue liner, from Winnipeg, has 18 points (3 goals and 15 assists) and 26 penalty minutes in 21 games with the Bruins this season.
Woo was named to the All Star Team at the 2021 WHL Cup where in five games he had two assists and four penalty minutes.
Last season with the Winnipeg Warriors U15 AAA team, he registered 12 points (five goals and seven assists) in five games.
The ICE continue a three game road trip tonight in Saskatoon against the Blades (6:30 on CFRW 1290).
Winnipeg and Brandon renew the Battle of Manitoba presented by Taylor McCaffery Lawyers Friday at Westoba Place. The two teams return to the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena for a 7:00 face off Saturday night.
