Edmonton, Alta. - The Prince Albert Raiders (19-27-2-1) wrapped up their four-game Alberta road trip with a 5-2 loss to the Edmonton Oil Kings (37-11-2-1) on Saturday night at Rogers Place in Edmonton.

The Oil Kings got on the board first 6:55 into the opening frame. Tikhon Chaika made the initial save on Jaxsen Wiebe's shot, but the rebound bounced in the slot. A charging Jalen Luypen was able to get his stick on it and lifted it over Chaika to make it 1-0 for Edmonton.
Edmonton doubled its lead at the 4:38 mark of the middle frame. Luypen scored his second of the contest when he slipped a rebound through a the five-hole of a sprawling Chaika.
The Raiders responded at the 5:52 mark, taking advantage of a three-on-one rush. Reece Vitelli dished it to Sloan Stanick on the left wing. Stanick made the backdoor pass to Latimer, who lifted it over Kolby Hay to record his 12th of the season and make it a 2-1 game.
Edmonton restored its two-goal lead with 7:17 to play in the second. Carter Souch got the puck from the halfboards and was able to skate into the slot. His screened shot got past Chaika to give the Oil Kings a 3-1 lead.
About two minutes later, Souch struck again for the Oil Kings. Justin Sourdif's slapshot from the point was stopped by Chaika, but Souch grabbed the loose puck and tucked it home at the right post to put Edmonton up 4-1 after two periods.
The Oil Kings added another with 5:08 to play in the third. Brendan Kuny sent a pass up to Dawson Seitz on the wing. Seitz let a shot go from the left wing that beat Chaika to make it a 5-1 game.
