BATTLE CREEK, MI - The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters took advantage of 3 Battle Creek errors and topped the Bombers 10-8 in 11 innings at C.O. Brown Stadium.

Battle Creek scored single runs in the 1st and 2nd inning, and 4 runs in the 3rd to take a 6-3 lead. Wisconsin Rapids battled back and tied the game in the 7th with an RBI single by Aaron Jones, forcing extra innings.

The Bombers gave up a run in the top of the 10th inning, but AJ Spanel came up big in the bottom of the 10th inning with an RBI single to tie the game. The feat could not be repeated in the 11th inning however, as Rapids scored 2 unearned runs to get the 10-8 win.

Offensively, Colin Willis had an outstanding night. The sophomore from Purdue: North Central went 4-6 with 4 RBI. The series wraps up tomorrow night against Wisconsin Rapids. Dan Tyson is the starting pitcher for the Bombers. First pitch will be at 7:05 ET.
